Mike Gallen

Mike Gallen joined JDA in 2023, as Director of Development for the Self-Storage Division. Based in the Los Angeles Office, he is responsible for managing the west coast development team and overseeing all development activities in the west. Prior to joining JDA, Mike was Director of Architecture and Development for OTO Development, also part of The Johnson Group. Over 19 years, he managed a team that developed over 32 upscale hospitality projects in a variety of suburban and high-barrier urban markets across the west. Prior to that, Mike held the position of Director of Construction at Extended Stay America, where he managed a team that developed over 100 hotels in eight years. Mike began his career with the Alexander Haagen Company, where he was involved in all aspects of shopping center development. Mike resides in Redondo Beach with his wife and two children. He enjoys traveling, and fly fishing outside of work.
